Privacy
Your reading stays yours.

Someday is operated by an independent developer. For privacy questions, complaints, or support, contact [email protected]. The app's seller identity is shown in the applicable App Store listing.
Website early-access requests
The website’s launch-update and beta-access buttons open your email app. Nothing is sent until you send the email. If you contact us, our mail provider processes your email address and message, and we use them to respond about the option you requested. We do not automatically enroll you in a general marketing list. Reply to ask us to stop updates or delete your request. Please do not include private reading content, passwords or API keys.
What Someday does
Someday turns saved articles, PDFs, screenshots, and optional newsletter imports into text and offline audio on your iPhone. Someday does not require a Someday account and does not operate a Someday-hosted reading-data server.
Data stored on your device
Someday stores saved links, extracted and normalized text, imported local PDFs, screenshot-derived text, generated audio, reading and playback positions, queue and listening history, voice and playback preferences, selected Gmail senders, and processing checkpoints on your device. Optional Gmail, AI-provider, and Raindrop.io credentials are stored in Apple Keychain where applicable.
Screenshot text recognition, article cleanup, Kokoro narration, and audio generation are performed on the device. Finished audio is stored locally for offline playback.
Information sent outside the app
Web articles and source websites
When you add a web article, Someday loads the address needed to extract it. The source website may receive normal web-request information under that website's own policy.
Gmail
Gmail is optional and read-only. Someday first requests recent sender names and addresses, subject lines, and newsletter headers from Google so you can review likely newsletter sources. You explicitly select the senders you want. Someday then filters Gmail for those sender addresses and requests full message content only for matching messages. Imported content is processed on your device and stored in your local Library. An import reads up to 10 recent messages per selected sender; enabled overnight refresh is capped at 10 messages total. Gmail OAuth credentials are stored only in the device Keychain.
Gmail credentials, sender details, message metadata, message content, imported articles, and generated audio are not sent to Someday servers, analytics, or optional AI providers. They remain in the app on your device. Gmail-imported text is excluded from Gemini, OpenAI, Claude, and other optional AI processing. Narration uses the on-device Kokoro voice engine.
Google Limited Use disclosure: Someday uses information received from Google APIs only to provide the Gmail newsletter import feature described here. Someday's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Someday does not transfer or disclose Google user data to advertising platforms or data brokers and does not use it to train, improve, or develop artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models.
User-configured AI providers
If you add your own Gemini, OpenAI, or Claude API key, eligible non-Gmail article text and the key are sent directly from the app to the provider you choose. Gmail-imported text is excluded. Someday does not operate a server or receive a copy of the key, request, or response. Review the provider's terms before enabling AI processing.
Analytics, advertising, and tracking
Someday has no advertising, cross-app tracking, or third-party ad networks. Optional usage statistics are off by default and remain on your iPhone unless you deliberately share a summary.
Retention, deletion, and requests
Local Library data remains on your device until you delete it in Settings or delete the app. Disconnecting Gmail deletes Someday's local OAuth credentials and asks Google to revoke the app's access. Imported articles remain until you delete them separately. If Google cannot complete the revocation request, you can remove Someday in Google Account security settings. Someday does not operate a user account or server-side Library database.

Changes
If Someday's data practices change, this policy will be updated before that change is released.
